Body of Chicago man found in Lake Michigan

PARK TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Authorities in southwestern Michigan say they've found the body of a missing Chicago man in Lake Michigan.

WZZM-TV says a kayaker spotted the body Monday, but Ottawa County sheriff's deputies weren't immediately able to find it. A U.S. Coast Guard crew joined the search and helped authorities recover of the body Tuesday afternoon.

The victim is identified as 36-year-old Paul DeTrano, who was last seen Sunday. Authorities say DeTrano was visiting friends in the area.

The body was found off Park Township, north of Holland. An autopsy is planned Wednesday, but sheriff's Lt. Mark Bennett told that it appears to be a drowning.
