Woman pulled from Chicago River dies

Chicago police say a woman who was pulled from the Chicago River is dead.

Authorities say that a call came in around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday that a person had gone into the river. The woman was found by divers.

She was transported to Swedish Covenant Hospital in critical condition and later pronounced dead.

Chicago Fire Department officials say someone reportedly saw a woman go into the water but they did not see her resurface.
