Liberty Town Productions invites musical-theatre actors/singers to audition for roles in the Neil Simon/Marvin Hamlisch musical, "They're Playing Our Song". This musical calls for male and female leads and a strong adult choral ensemble. All characters are young adult through middle age appropriate. Auditions will be at Libertyville High School's choir room, 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17. The evening of Sept. 19 is for possible callbacks. Evening and some weekend rehearsals will begin Monday, Sept. 24. Performances are Nov. 30 to Dec. 1. Auditioners should be ready to sing 32 bars from a musical-theater song that best shows their voice, and bring corresponding sheet music. Accompaniment will be provided. All should expect to read from the show's script, which will be given at the audition. Bring a list of evening and weekend conflicts through Dec. 1. Send a note to firstname.lastname@example.org about the audition session you will attend.
