Petition packets for those wishing to run for the Diamond Lake Elementary District 76 school board are available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 6 at the district office at West Oak Middle School, 500 Acorn Lane, Mundelein. Three, four-year terms will be available on the April 9, 2013, election. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, 18 or older, a registered voters and have lived in the district at least one year. The first day to circulate petitions is Tuesday, Sept. 25. Petitions can be filed during business hours from Monday, Dec. 17 to Monday, Dec. 24. The office will remain open until 5 p.m. on Dec. 24.
