Priest misleading on Islamic attacks

As a Catholic whose son graduated from St. Viator's, I felt that I needed to respond to the attack on Congressman Joe Walsh by Father Corey Brost. I question his source for the following quote: "There is no radical 'strain' of Islam in this country." Then he goes on to mention that in 2010 and 2011 there have been a total of 46 Muslim Americans violent plots stopped.

Being a teacher of religion he goes on to mention the similarities between the Catholic Church and Islam. There are also fundamental differences. No one doubts that there are good practicing Muslims just as there are good practicing Catholics.

There are Christians under attack in various places in our world at this time. This is a fact.

I question also the motive of a priest in demonizing a politician who won in a fair election and is representing his constituents.

May God continue to bless our country.
