28 arrested by ICE agents in NE Wisconsin

GREEN BAY, Wis. — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents say they’ve arrested 28 people in northeastern Wisconsin.

ICE says the arrests took place over five days from Baileys Harbor to Fond du Lac and cities in between. The federal agency says 26 of the immigrants arrested had prior convictions for crimes, including possessing cocaine and sexually assaulting a minor.

Four of the 28 had previously been deported and re-entered the U.S. illegally. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports ICE says the arrests are part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to remove criminal illegal immigrants from the U.S.
