Improv Playhouse holds audition for ‘A Christmas Carol’ in Libertyville

An audition call for third- through ninth-graders for the Improv Playhouse Young Actors Workshop production of Charles Dickens’ classic “A Christmas Carol” will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at IP’s Black Box Theater, 735 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville. Callbacks, if necessary, will be Wednesday, Aug. 29.

This traditional retelling of Charles Dickens’ timeless classic is for a large cast with many roles for both boys and girls. Three spirits take the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge on a journey through his life where he learns the true meaning of Christmas and life. All the memorable episodes and characters from the story are represented.

Rehearsals will be on 1 to 3 p.m. Sundays and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays, Sept. 9 through Dec. 16, at the IP Theater.
