By Daily Herald Report

The Arlington Heights Memorial Library is about to start a "job classification and salary structure project" to compare the salaries and benefits offered its workers with those of similar employers in the Northwest suburbs.

The survey will be done by the Management Association of Illinois, a company that, among other things, regularly performs surveys comparing jobs, benefits or salaries of companies. Details of the project were discussed at the library board's most recent meeting.

The survey will help determine the competitiveness of the library's salaries and benefits.
