Naperville man gets 9 years for pizza robbery

A Naperville man was sentenced to nine years in prison Thursday for robbing a local pizza parlor at gunpoint, prosecutors said.

Aaron Zibutis, 22, of the 200 block of Bay Colony Drive, had pleaded guilty in June. He was sentenced by DuPage County Judge Blanche Hill Fawell.

Police said Zibutis wore a mask and brandished a handgun when he robbed Tuttis Pizza, Pasta and More at 1783 S. Washington St. in Naperville shortly before 10 p.m. on Nov. 23.

According to court records, Zibutis made off with $216. He still had the gun, cash and mask when police found him while searching the surrounding area.

By law, Zibutis must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence, or about 7½ years.
