Pitching matchups: The White Sox’ Chris Sale (14-3) vs. Luis Mendoza (6-8) Friday at 7:10 p.m.; Jake Peavy (9-8) vs. Bruce Chen (8-10) Saturday at 6:10 p.m.; Jose Quintana (5-2) vs. Jeremy Guthrie (2-3) Sunday at 1:10 p.m.

At a glance: The White Sox wrap up their seven-game road trip with three at Kansas City. The Sox always seem to have their hands full with the Royals, and this season is no different.
