Why is it that they in the media continue to assert that women, Hispanics, and seniors think we need government to take care of us?
Unfortunately for this same media, I think we are a group of people who believe hard work is not only good for us and gives us pride and dignity but believe we are one nation under God who believe that we can and always have taken care of ourselves and each other.
I have never wondered why people try to come here to live and seek opportunity because this is the greatest country in the world. We are superior and I make no apology for feeling that way. I have always told my kids the boats have always been a lot more crowded coming in the United States than leaving.
I also believe many who have overspent and sunk themselves in a river of debt always knew what and where they were headed. It's not unfamiliar territory as it's gone on forever. The consequences are the same; however, you have to pick yourself up by your bootstraps, look forward ask for God's strength and move on.
We all make mistakes. Having been self employed most of my life, I have paid for my own health care and mistakes. I have always believed in the Republican philosophy that we will give you the fishing pole not the fish.
I am grateful to our neighbors to the north that they have a man like Paul Ryan to help restore this country to its dignity and fiscal responsibility. Gov. Romney's pick for V.P. restores this election back to where it belongs -- solutions that our current administration obviously has no clue how to fix.
I will work hard to try to make that point to my fellow Illinois neighbors.
