Registered voters in Lake County, including students away at school and traveling snowbirds, who want to vote by mail in the November election can download an application for a ballot at LakeVoterPower.info. Illinois law requires each person voting by mail to complete and sign an application for every election before receiving a ballot. Web visitors need to confirm their voter registration status and click on the "request a ballot by mail" tab before printing, signing and mailing the paper copy to the Lake County Clerk's office. Applications may also be requested by email at VotingByMail@lakecountyil.gov or by calling (847) 377-2406. Ballots can be mailed beginning Sept. 27.
