Daily Herald report

Registered voters in Lake County, including students away at school and traveling snowbirds, who want to vote by mail in the November election can download an application for a ballot at Illinois law requires each person voting by mail to complete and sign an application for every election before receiving a ballot. Web visitors need to confirm their voter registration status and click on the "request a ballot by mail" tab before printing, signing and mailing the paper copy to the Lake County Clerk's office. Applications may also be requested by email at or by calling (847) 377-2406. Ballots can be mailed beginning Sept. 27.
