Proud to know nurse who ran 314 miles
With all the bad news written daily, I wanted to highlight a story about an exceptional “feet” — yes, I mean feet — of a nurse in Cancer Services at Northwest Community Hospital.
Julie Aistars recently ran 314 miles across the state of Tennessee to raise money for a highly sophisticated scanning device for the hospital. Julie ran through high heat, storms and slept out in the elements. She ran with blisters and tired limbs and placed first among the women and only a few men were ahead of her.
Julie is very dedicated to helping the cause for cancer patients and I’m very proud to know her.
