Coming up today

Ÿ Sean Rooney, of Wheaton, and the U.S. men's volleyball team take on Tunisia in the final prelim game. TV: Live, 2-3:15 p.m. NBC

Ÿ U.S. women's soccer team (Amy LePeilbet, Crystal Lake) plays a semifinal match against Canada. TV: 1:45-3:45 p.m. live, NBC Sports Network.

Ÿ Richard Oruche, Bensenville, and the Nigerian basketball team play France in the final prelim round. TV: None.

Ÿ Evan Jager, Jacobs High School, finished sixth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

Ÿ Christina Loukas, Riverwoods, finished eighth in the 3-meter springboard diving competition.

Ÿ Melissa Seidemann, Hoffman Estates, scored three goals in the U.S. women's water polo team's 9-6 win over Italy.

Ÿ Tamika Catchings, Stevenson, doled out seven assists as the U.S. women's basketball team routed China 114-66.
