About this Article

Members of the local Sikh community remembered the victims of Sunday's shooting at a suburban Milwaukee temple during two candlelight vigils, in Palatine and Wheaton. In Wheaton, local Sikhs were joined by representatives of other major religions at an interfaith prayer service. "What has happened did not happen to a Sikh, a Hindu, a Muslim, a Christian, a Jew, but to Americans," a temple spokesman said.
