Jorge Bonifacio broke out of an 0-for-24 slump with a tiebreaking double as the Kane County Cougars defeated the Quad Cities River Bandits 5-3 on Monday afternoon at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark.

Bonifacio's double down the left-field line came against reliever Jonathan Cornelius with two outs in the fifth, scoring Alex Llanos. Llanos had tied the score at 3-3 with a two-out single to score Kevin David.
