Police: Volo man pointed gun at father, 11-year-old girl

Round Lake Park police say Glenford O. Coombs of Volo used this loaded 9 mm semiautomatic pistol to threaten a man and his 11-year-old daughter Tuesday. Police said they also recovered roughly 100 rounds of 9 mm ammunition from Coombs' Mercedes-Benz.

Criminal charges have been filed against a Volo man accused of pointing a loaded pistol at an 11-year-old girl and her father, Round Lake Park authorities said Friday. Glenford O. Coombs, 40, was charged with two counts of aggravated unlawful use of weapon, aggravated assault and disorderly conduct. Police said Coombs was freed after posting bail at the Lake County jail, but a court date wasn't immediately available.
