Naperville police want help solving burglaries

Naperville police are seeking the public’s help to solve two apparently unrelated burglaries.

In the first, burglars forced entry to a vacant residence either June 30 or July 1 on the 900 block of North Sleight Street, removed some items and caused roughly $10,000 damage to the interior.

In the second, burglars on July 5 entered an unlocked garage on the 300 block of Tamarack Avenue and stole beer, a bottle of wine and a cooler. The intruders also stole a computer from the home’s basement. Police said the stolen items were recovered two days later a block away.

Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in each case. Police are asking anyone with information to call (630) 420-6006. Callers may remain anonymous.
