Cops: Three Geneva businesses served minors during Swedish Days
Three Geneva businesses will appear before city's liquor commissioner later this month because of alcohol sales to minors during Swedish Days, according to police.
Geneva police conducted compliance checks on 13 businesses in the downtown area on Friday night during the midsummer festival, the Geneva Police department announced Thursday.
An employee at each of the Little Owl Restaurant and Flagstone Pub, Cabooses Bar and Grill, and Savway Fine Wines and Spirits sold or served liquor to a minor between 6 and 8 p.m. on June 22, according to police.
Police also checked beer gardens that were open for Swedish Days.
All three businesses are set to appear before the liquor commissioner on July 26 at Geneva City Hall.
