Fire causes $400,000 in damage to Naperville home

A fire caused about $400,000 in damage to a Naperville home Tuesday night, according to fire officials.

The blaze, which started just after 9 p.m. in the back of a home on the 1800 block of Winola Court, took firefighters about 45 minutes to bring under control, according to the Naperville Fire Department.

All the residents were out of the home when fire crews arrived, and there were no reported injuries to either the occupants or firefighters.

The blaze left the house temporarily uninhabitable, officials said.

Numerous residents reported the fire to dispatchers, and 25 fire personnel responded.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation late Tuesday night.

The Naperville Fire Department was assisted by officers of the Naperville Police Department, Naperville Emergency Management Agency volunteers, Lisle-Woodridge Fire Protection District, Bolingbrook Fire Department and Naperville building inspectors.
