Winchester rail crossing closed
Lake County Department of Transportation officials said Winchester Road will be closed at the railroad crossing, just west of Route 45, in Libertyville until Saturday for repairs. Officials said Thursday the crossing was closed for repairs last week, then reopened on Tuesday. However, a large bump developed in the road, making traveling over the crossing hazardous. The road was shut down again after complaints were received. Repairs are being completed and Winchester Road is scheduled to reopen Saturday.
