Dining events: Vidalia Steakhouse more than just steaks

Vidalia Steakhouse opens in Schaumburg

Choose from steaks, chops, seafood and more at Schaumburg’s new Vidalia Steakhouse. The dinner menu items include filet mignon for $27.95, two bone-in maple-brined pork chops for $16.95, and teriyaki and maple soy-glazed pork tenderloin for $16.95. Entrees include soup, salad and a choice of potato. Catch live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays.

New at Antico Posto

Seasonal foods on the menu at Antico Posto include the strawberry and bibb salad made with goat cheese, hearts of palm, candied walnuts and honey-cider vinaigrette for $8.95; and the chicken Parmesan with Milanese chicken breast, fresh mozzarella and garlic tomato sauce for $15.95. New specials include $15 pasta duos on Mondays and $5 pizza from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays.

Ti Amo’s new owner

Gar Aparicio and his wife, Radi, took over long-running Italian restaurant Ti Amo Cafe Italiano. Aparicio offers a daily dinner special of two meals (including a glass of wine or soft drink and soup or salad) for $29.95 Sunday through Thursday. Entrees include chicken alla francese, chicken parmigiana with penne pasta, tilapia alla piccata, pennete alla turidu, fettuccine Alfredo, lasagna con carne.
