Bad luck for 5 teens suspected of shoplifting in Chicago

Some bad luck for five teenagers who allegedly shoplifted a downtown Chicago drugstore.

The five were taken into custody Sunday afternoon by police officers who just happened to be in the area responding to another call.

The Chicago Tribune reports that the officers were at a Walgreens at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Washington Street at about noon after receiving a call of two men stealing things from the store.

They didn’t catch the two original suspects. But while they were parked outside, they received a call that there was another theft at the store. Within minutes they had arrested five female teenagers suspected of stealing make-up and iced tea from the same store.
