Two McHenry Co. teens killed in single-vehicle crash

Two 16-year-old McHenry County boys died early Sunday in a single-vehicle car crash near Woodstock, authorities said.

Alec J. Kaiser and Jacob S. Norys, both of Woodstock, were in a 2010 Hyundai Elantra that crashed into a brick pillar and a tree about 2 a.m. Sunday in the 14200 block of Davis Road, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.

Based on the crash investigation, which is ongoing, the vehicle was traveling west on Davis Road when the driver lost control and the car started to roll. Kaiser and Norys had both been wearing seat belts and the air bags in the vehicle deployed.

Both teens were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The McHenry County Coroner will conduct autopsies on the teenagers Monday morning.

Information about what caused the driver to lose control of his vehicle was not immediately available Sunday.
