A Naperville man is accused of stealing money from a La Grange church donation box, according to police.
Two investigators hid inside St. Francis Xavier Church in La Grange and spotted Daniel S. Blubaugh, 31, enter the church and take the money from donation boxes at about 1:20 a.m. Monday, according to police.
Church officials noticed a pattern of Sunday donations missing, and contacted police who then set up inside in the church.
Blubaugh, of the 1300 block of East Ogden Avenue, was charged with felony burglary to a place of worship, possession of burglary tools and resisting arrest, according to police.
Blubaugh is due in bond court Tuesday in Bridgeview.
