Lookingglass' 'Eastland' exceptional theater, superb memorial

Monica West plays Ilse, a young mother longing for a life more extraordinary than the one she lives in Lookingglass Theatre's "Eastland: A New Musical."

In "Eastland: A New Musical," director Amanda Dehnert and her able cast create a moving memorial to the victims of the Lake Michigan excursion boat that capsized in the Chicago River on July 24, 1915, killing 844 people.
