Grayslake library's summer concert series

The Grayslake library's free summer concert schedule on the library lawn will provide musical performances that everyone will enjoy.

Bring the family and friends, dinner or snacks, lawn chairs and blankets, and twisting, dancing and relaxing shoes.

There's a little something for everyone this year, ranging from to sounds from the islands to a Beatles tribute band.

Concerts are sponsored by the Friends of the Library and are free.

Ÿ Tear-Water Chili at 7 p.m. Monday, June 25. Opening Performance by Jon Napiorkowski. Indie band Tear Water Chili is an experimental folk/rock duo from right here in our own community.

Ÿ Johnny Russler & The Beach Bum Band, 7 p.m. Monday, July 16 (this concert has been rescheduled from July 9). The band plays the sweet sound of Caribbean Rock, Reggae and Calypso.

Ÿ The Cavern Beat, 7 p.m. Monday, July 23. Get ready to twist and shout the night away one of the world's premier Beatles Tribute Bands.

Ÿ Makani and Friends, 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6. Come with us on a journey to the Polynesian Islands and hear songs from Hawaii, Tahiti and New Zealand.
