A Prospect Heights man died early Sunday morning after he reportedly lost control of his motorcycle on I-294 near Glenview.
Christian Borowski, 28, was pronounced dead at 6:15 a.m., said Illinois State Police Sgt. Anton Manuel.
Borowski was driving a 2006 Honda motorcycle northbound on I-294 near Willow Road when he lost control, drove into a ditch and was thrown from his motorcycle, Manuel said.
A concerned citizen stopped to check on Borowski and called police around 5:33 a.m., but he was pronounced dead on the scene.
According to witness reports, Borowski was traveling at a high rate of speed before the accident.
Borowski was not wearing a helmet, police said.
