Glen Ellyn shows its generosity

The Glen Ellyn Food Pantry would like to publicly thank all the members of our community who made the first Spring Fling fundraiser a great success. Local vendors came together to provide a unique boutique shopping experience that provided the focal point for our event.

These vendors and area merchants also donated raffle items, which added to the fun of the afternoon. Many food pantry volunteers staffed the event. The money raised through the shopping and raffle sales will enable the pantry to continue fulfilling our mission of assisting with the food needs of low-income families in Glen Ellyn, Wheaton, Lombard, Lisle, Glendale Heights and Carol Stream.

The number of families served by the food pantry has increased dramatically over the past two years. Currently we serve over 300 families per month (1200 individuals) and approximately 4,000 families per year.

Once again, thank you to all the generous people who have joined us in our effort or respond to hunger and poverty in our community. For more information about the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry visit our website at glenellynfoodpantry.org.
