Water under the bridge
Of course everyone knows about Chicago’s great museums like the Field Museum and Shedd Aquarium, but perhaps you aren’t acquainted with the McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum, which celebrates the river and world-famous movable bridges. The museum allows visitors the opportunity to explore a historic landmark bridgehouse. Once at the top of the bridgehouse, set your sights on a splendid 360-degree view of the city and waterways.

The Robie House on the University of Chicago campus is considered one of the most important buildings in the history of American architecture. Guides take you through Frank Lloyd Wright’s Prairie-style house during a 45- to 60-minute tour offering insights into the contemporary spaces the famed architect designed 100 years ago.

Marsh bird festival
Often called the Everglades of the North, Horicon Marsh in central Wisconsin presents a festival honoring our flying friends.
