My boring backyard

We have been in our home for 13 years and I would love nothing more than to have a comfortable backyard that I can entertain in.

I would love to have birthday parties and my kids graduation parties in my yard. Have the neighbors over for drinks and the football team over for pasta dinner. My concrete patio has sunk 6 inches over the past 10 years, the patio furniture is over 13 years old and the fire pit ring has rusted through. To make things even better, the grill blew over in the last storm and broke the lid. So as you can see we have nothing but potential. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Dear Kathy,

After you have removed and replaced the existing concrete patio with brick or new concrete patio, I have a few suggestions. Replace existing patio set with a new cast aluminum set called Hanamint Tuscany (54-inch table and four to six chairs, a 9-foot market umbrella and cast aluminum umbrella base). The best part about this set is the fact that you can leave it outside all year round.

Add another element of entertaining by adding a matching party bar with matching stools. Same collection as the dining set. This matching set is a great piece to serve food off for pasta parties as well as entertaining your neighbors.

Replace grill with a Weber Spirit SP310. It is a three-burner gas grill and a great size for entertaining.

Replace existing fire pit with a new Weber fireplace.
