Lucky teens win cars for safe driving habits

Crystal Lake Central junior Mikayla Tuszynski can hardly believe she won the blue 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser Thursday in Crystal Lake at the 2012 banquet for Operation Click. Students at a growing number of high schools are signing a pledge to drive safely, including wearing seat belts and not getting any tickets or other violations. Finalists with the highest percentage from the participating high schools get a chance to pull a key from a bowl to see if the car starts. Thanks to donations from Crystal Lake Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, and Black Diamond Plumbing, two cars were given away Thursday.
