Here's a simple, but powerful suggestion from Lin Pflederer of Arlington Heights:

Upon waking, even before you get out of bed, visualize things that you want to avoid that day like sponge carbs, unhealthy fats, refined sugars, etc. Do the same for things that you definitely want to accomplish ... a certain amount of cardio, a healthy addition to your food plan or more effective posture.

You'll be amazed at how much of a difference a couple of minutes at the very beginning of your day can make.
