Jennifer Hudson, Death Cab for Cutie on Taste lineup

This year's Taste of Chicago music lineup will include Jennifer Hudson, Chaka Khan, Death Cab for Cutie and Dierks Bentley, city officials announced Thursday.

If you want a seat in Grant Park's Petrillo Music Shell during the 2012 Taste of Chicago, however, you're going to have to pay.

For the first time, Taste of Chicago attendees will be charged $25 for seats to see the top music headliners, a move instituted by Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events to try to stave off losses from previous years. Tickets to a total of 3,000 seats per performance will be made available in late May. Lawn seating will remain free.

This year's fest runs from Wednesday, July 11, to Sunday, July 15. Hudson performs July 11, Death Cab for Cutie on July 12, Chaka Kahn on July 14 and Bentley on July 15. Entertainment for July 13 has yet to be finalized.
