Myrna Molina is not the type of county board member who feels the need to say something about every issue that comes up for a vote. But she is the type of board member who makes the time to educate herself about the important issues. That means reading the material and attending board committee meetings where the grunt work is done even if she's not a member of that committee. And, if driven to it by the direction of the debate, Molina will speak up in strong tones to have her opinions heard. In short, she's become the type of board member we expected when we endorsed her previously over then-incumbent Sylvia Leonberger. Leonberger is returning for a rematch in the Democratic primary, but we've seen nothing to change our original impression. Molina is endorsed.
