Rose rear-ended on Kennedy but uninjured

Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose was uninjured when his 2011 Bentley was rear-ended on the Kennedy Expressway late Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Rose was driving southbound on I-90 near Ogden Avenue when he was struck by a 2002 green Saturn at about 4:25 p.m., according to Illinois State Police.

Neither Rose, who did not have any passengers in the vehicle, nor the other driver was injured in the crash, police said.

The driver of the Saturn, Charles Trautwein of Maryland, was cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash.

Paramedics responded to the scene, but both drivers refused treatment, police said.

A police report lists Rose’s residence as Northbrook, but the 23-year-old recently purchased a $2.8 million three-bedroom condo in the Trump International Hotel & Tower, according to Crain’s Chicago Business.

The Bulls did not have a game Tuesday night but face the rival Miami Heat at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
