Forest Elementary School hosts open house March 15
Des Plaines Elementary District 62 will conduct the fourth in a series of six community open houses on Thursday, March 15 at Forest Elementary School, 1375 S. Fifth Ave., Des Plaines.
The open house, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., will showcase renovations at the school completed as part of the district’s master plan construction. Improvements include classroom relocation to the first floor, the former school board room and technology lab converted into kindergarten classrooms, the addition of two Technology Integrated Learning Environments, a new multipurpose room floor, two new classrooms, main entrance relocation, and parking and vehicular traffic reconfiguration for easier pickup and drop-off.
Students will guide visitors through the building, and staff will be available to answer questions. Refreshments will be served in the multipurpose room.
