Poll Vault: What’s your favorite Girl Scout cookie?

By Michelle Holdway

Thank goodness for Girl Scout cookies. They fill the snack void at work between the end of the Valentine’s Day candy and the beginning of the Easter confections.

If no Scouts have come knocking on your door, you can find troops selling cookies outside suburban groceries, including late this afternoon at the Jewel-Osco and Dominick’s stores on South Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

I know this because the Girl Scouts organization has a “Cookie Finder” on its website. Yes, there is an app for that, as well as myriad badges for mastering the cookie business.

The website also has an online poll to vote for your favorite variety of cookie. You might be surprised to learn that Thin Mints aren’t No. 1.

What’s your favorite? Do you demand a recount on behalf of the delectable Thin Mint? Or are you partial to the Peanut Butter Patties, the Carmel deLites or perhaps the Trefoils?
