About this Gallery

Ash Wednesday marks the first day of the season of Lent, which begins 40 days prior to Easter. Throughout the suburbs, ashes were distributed during Ash Wednesday services at local churches. For those that couldn't make it to a church service, ashes were being distributed at local commuter train stations.
