Lake County candidates to take part in forum

The League of Women Voters of Lake County will host a public forum for candidates in contested races for coroner, clerk of the circuit court, recorder of deeds, and state’s attorney.

The forum, which is co-sponsored by the Daily Herald and Lake County University Center, is set for Sunday, Feb. 12, at the Lake County University Center, 1200 University Center Road, Grayslake.

Doors will open at 1 p.m. and the forum will begin at 1:30 p.m.

After brief introductory remarks, candidates will answer questions submitted by the audience. The following candidates are participating at the approximate time:

타 1:40 to 2:10 p.m.: Clerk of the Circuit Court — Republicans Gerald Dietz and Keith Brin.

타 2:15 to 2:45 p.m.: Recorder of Deeds — Republicans Marty Blumenthal and Bob Bednar.

타 2:50 to 3:30 p.m.: Coroner — Democrats Thomas Rudd and Artis Yancey; Republicans Steve Newton and Howard Cooper.

타 3:35 to 4:30 p.m.: State’s Attorney — Democrats Karen Williams, Reginald Mathews and Chris Kennedy; Republicans Mike Nerheim, Louise Hayes and Bryan Winter.
