If so, what should the ordinance contain?Yes, I support a more strident ethics ordinance because elected officials are entrusted by the people who elect them to be honorable in all their dealings on be half of all the people of Kane County. The people expect honesty and integrity even demand it.The county's portion of gambling proceeds has been decreasing every year for several years. What is your plan to prioritize use of that money? What might be done to wean the agencies and programs that receive this money off of it?The Kane County Board need to work in collaboration between and among agencies to insure there isno duplication of services but ensure essential services are being provided. For example safety is prime importance i.e. Fire Department, Police Department and Hospitals.Do you believe the Kane County court system needs a computer system upgrade that might cost as much as $12.6 million? If so, do you support using RTA sales tax money to fund the cost, or do you have a different plan? If not, what is your alternative plan?If up graded technology reduces wasted labor and lost records, it could be worth the expense. How should the county board enforce the budgets it sets'An independent auditor might be set up to oversee the budgets and assure the officials are operating within their budgets constraints. We might set up tools or instruments to help with this via technology,i.e. a program to help with this, a third party that looks at spending is what is needed.
