The Chicago Express spotted Cincinnati a 2-goal lead in the first period, then roared back to capture a 3-2 shootout victory over the Cyclones on Sunday afternoon at the the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates.
The Express received shootout goals from Pierre-Luc Faubert and Maxime Gratchev, and goaltender Peter Mannino stopped 4 shots from the Cyclones to seal the triumph.
Trailing 2-0, the Express cut its deficit in half in the second period, Kyle Ostrow fired a shot off the post, but Darcy Campbell backhanded the rebound past Cyclones goalie Brian Foster.
The Express tied the score with 7:18 left in the third period on a Chaz Johnson goal.
