The last of three men convicted of committing a 2008 dollar store robbery in Hanover Park that led to the stabbing death of a clerk was sentenced Friday to 35 years in prison. Calling Thakkar’s death “a very senseless murder,” Judge George Bakalis issued the sentence to Dewaun Tate of Hanover Park.
