Bulls set Comcast ratings mark
The Bulls lost the game but won a ratings battle Wednesday night.
Officials for Comcast SportsNet say Wednesday’s loss to the Indiana Pacers at the United Center was Comcast’s highest regular-season Bulls game rating in network history.
The 8.73 household rating also ranks as the highest-rated regular-season mark for any team in Comcast SportsNet history, eclipsing the previous record of an 8.30 household rating for the Cubs at Brewers telecast from July 28, 2008.
According to data provided by Nielsen Media Research, the broadcast attracted about 305,000 households, and it peaked with a 12.13 rating late in the game (over 423,700 households).
So far this season, the Bulls on Comcast SportsNet are currently averaging a 6.25 household rating, a year-to-date increase of 58 percent compared to last season.
