College preview: Loyola at UIC Flames

Loyola (5-11, 0-6) at UIC (5-11, 1-5)

Skinny: Loyola has been UIC the last four times, but the Ramblers are winless in Horizon League play this season and UIC has picked up all five of its wins at home so far. Both Chicago teams are coming off 21-point losses with the Flames lsoing 71-50 at Youngstown State and Loyola dropping a 69-48 game at Cleveland State. Last season these two clubs produced a 67-66 overtime thriller that was decided by a three-pointer at the buzzer. UIC’s top scorers are junior guard Daniel Barnes (11.0 ppg), junior PG Gary Talton (10.8) and senior center Darrin Williams (10.8). The Ramblers counter with junior forward Ben Averkamp (15.2 ppg) and senior forward Walt Gibler (14.1).
