Marzano's is now open

McHenry welcomes a new pizza and pasta restaurant, Marzano's. Specializing in Neapolitan-style pizza cooked in a wood-fired Italian oven, Marzano's pies feature homemade pizza dough, handmade mozzarella and San Marzano tomato sauce. Menu items range from $7 to $20; kids 2 to 12 eat free on Sundays. Specialties include the Bianca Nero pizza with pecorino, for di latte mozzarella, porcini mushrooms and white truffle oil for $12; Linguine di Mare for $17; and gnocchi with vodka sauce for $14. Paula Deen's Joliet Kitchen

Celebrity chef Paula Deen is setting up shop nearby soon. The best-selling author and television host will open Paula Deen's Kitchen and Retail Store at the Harrah's Joliet Casino and Hotel in spring 2012.
