Six campaigns challenged in Kane County

The Kane County electoral board will meet Monday to consider objections to petitions in six races in the March 20 primary.

The hearings start at 9 a.m. at the county clerk’s office at the Kane County Government Center, 719 S. Batavia Ave. (Route 31) in Geneva.

Ÿ Kane County Board member Jim Mitchell has objected to the petition of Darren Delgado in the county board District 10 Republican primary.

Ÿ Julia Rodriguez as objected to the petition of Alexis Cervantes in the county board District 4 Democratic primary.

Ÿ Cheryl Bowman has objected to the petition of Charles Phillips in the county board District 7 Democratic primary.

Ÿ Peter Culber has objected to the petition of Jose Fuentes in the county board District 20 Democratic primary.

Ÿ Former county board member Paul Greviskes has objected to the petition of Kane County Board member Ron Ford in the District 6 Democratic primary, and to the petition of Aurora Township Ward 6 Precinct 5 Democratic committeeman candidate Oswald “Ozzie” Trejo.

Greviskes’ wife, Angie, is running against Ford and Trejo.
