Friends of the Warren-Newport Public Library in Gurnee will host a special book sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The sale will be in the library's large meeting room off O'Plaine Road just north of Washington Street. This sale will feature an overstock of books and DVDs too numerous to fit into the Book Ends used-book room, which is open during library hours. They will introduce Book Ends Bucks in a new gift certificate program. The Friends group underwrites all library programming and meets next at 1 p.m. Dec. 15 at 1 p.m. New members are welcome.
