Wisconsin-Green Bay tips Illinois-Chicago 71-68

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Alec Brown scored 17 points and Wisconsin-Green Bay rallied to beat Illinois-Chicago 71-68 on Thursday night.

The game was the Horizon League opener for both schools. Green Bay scored eight of the game’s last 10 points after UIC had its biggest lead at 66-63 with 2:12 remaining.

Terry Johnson and Brennan Cougill had 12 points each for the Phoenix (3-4), while Kam Cerroni scored 11.

Daniel Barnes had 17 points and seven rebounds for the Flames (2-4). Gary Talton had 14 points and four assists, while Darrin Williams had 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting.
