With the first day of candidate filing complete, at least five Lake County Board members will face political challenges in 2012 from within their political parties. The Lake County clerk’s office processed 167 candidate petitions in about 1½ hours on Monday morning. Hopefuls who want to be on the March 2012 primary ballot have until Dec. 5 to file.
